Plasma and welding applications

Mass Flow ONLINE offers high-quality, best-cost flow meters and regulators to accurately measure and/or adjust the flow of welding gases to serve customers with optimizing their TIG/GTAW and MIG/GMAW welding operations. Our MASS-VIEW® instruments can measure the flow rate of air, nitrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide, propane and methane or helium or hydrogen. The operator can easily switch between various welding gases and ranges and these can be selected using the menu button. One MASS-VIEW® instrument can therefore replace a range of rotameters and thus reduce the total cost of ownership.

Plasma is a gas where certain portions of the gas are ionized. Plasma gases (Ar, He, N2, H2, Air and O2) can be used for plasma cutting. This process is used to cut steel and other metals of different thicknesses using a plasma torch. An inert gas is blown through a nozzle and at the same time an electric arc is formed through the gas from the nozzle to surface beeing cut, turning some of that gas into plasma. The plasma is sufficiently hot to melt the metal being cut and moves sufficiently fast to blow molten metal away from the cut. To monitor and control the plasma gases, MASS-VIEW® is used to easily do this task.
